Tender description

This is a Prior Information Notice for the procurement for the Provisions of Forensic Medical Examiner (FME) Services to Police Custody Suites and is not an Invitation to Tender. Procurement will be led by BCH Joint Procurement Department. The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Bedfordshire, PCC for Cambridgeshire, PCC for Hertfordshire, PCC for Norfolk and PCC For Suffolk are tendering for the FME provisions on the basis of a 24 hrs/day 365/6 days/year for Police Custody. Consideration is being given to a supplier day event, if you are interested in attending (yet to be confirmed) email Laura Footner, expressing an interest. Contract duration is to be determined but will be a min 3 years +1 year ext to a max of 5 years + 1 + 1. The forces involved are looking for innovative, cost effective ways of managing the needs of city and rural based custody, offering a service that balances the importance of the welfare of detainees against the time limited restrictions of the legal process. The Tender is likely to be spilt into 2 geographical lots: Lot 1: Norfolk and Suffolk; Lot 2: Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.
