Tender description

Doncaster Borough Council is seeking to appoint a range of contractors to a DPS under Regulation 74 to 77 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (Light Touch Regime) who are able to provide one-to-one tutoring services or support for children and young people including children with SEND needs who are not able to attend their usual school or setting. The contract has been split into 2 lots: Lot 1 is for Tuition Services to Looked After Children (LAC) and Lot 2 is for Tuition Services to Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Contractors may tender for all lots. A One-to-One tutoring service is required to provide high quality teaching for individuals who are currently out of school and cannot engage with group-based provision or it is felt that a one-to-one service is preferable. The majority of referrals will be short-term — for example between a week and a school term. However, this will be dependent on the individuals needs and education plan. In all cases where the tutor is required to teach National Curriculum subjects, providers must ensure that tutors are appropriately qualified and are able to teach up to the required standard in Mathematics and English as a minimum.
