Delivery of Covert Policing Training and Covert Operations Management

Tender description

The Southwest Police Procurement Department (SwPPD) is seeking interest from the market to determine numbers of potential bidders for a future tender. SwPPD wish to establish a single Provider Contract for the delivery of training for staff in covert policing and the management of covert operations on behalf of the Southwest regional Police Forces of Devon & Cornwall, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. The courses must be delivered in-line with the standard RIPA and CLEM Courses to achieve the prescribed aims and objectives. Courses must also be externally quality assured and accredited by OCN/WMR (on behalf of Ofqual). Aims and Objectives of the courses below are included as attachments. 1. Management of Covert Operations (MCO) Advanced Skills Course. 2. Management of Covert Operations (MCO) Core Skills Course. 3. Management of Covert Operations (MCO) Sensitive Material Course. 4. Operational Security Liaison Officers (OSLO) Course. 5. RIPA Authorising Officers Course. 6. RIPA Applicants Course. 7. RIPA Gate Keeper Course. There may be an additional requirement to design and deliver bespoke add-on course(s) where a gap is identified. The Contract period is anticipated to be for 2 years with two options to extend for an additional 12 months (2+2).
