Daventry DC - Over Clad Roofing Project (CON414)

Tender description

Daventry District Council is undertaking a programme of improvement works to their Commercial Units on Austin Way, Humber Close and Riley Close. The works are being undertaken to improve the condition of their property portfolio and also achieve compliance with the Energy Act. The council intend to enter into an agreement under a new NEC3 (Engineering & Construction) Short Form Contract (ECES). The existing roofs to the identified properties are in a functional condition however suffering from corrosion of the metal roofing sheets to cut edges and fixing points. The appearance, water tightness and safety of the building are suffering as a result. It is proposed to over clad the existing roofs, incorporating 100mm insulation and new roof lights. To the Austin Way and Humber Close sites it is also proposed to renew the façade cladding which incorporates curved eaves.
