CTP898 Provision of Suicide Awareness and Prevention Training

Tender description

Derbyshire County Council is looking to procure a programme of suicide awareness and prevention training within Derbyshire (excluding Derby City). Such training is supported by national policy documents including 'Preventing Suicide in England - A cross-government outcomes strategy', 'Public mental health leadership and workforce development framework', 'Mental Health Core Skills Education and Training Framework' and 'Local suicide prevention planning: A practice resource. The training will provide a practical means to help to make suicide prevention everyone's business through adopting a place based approach to upskilling individuals, communities and organisations across Derbyshire. The training will be aimed at a broad range of statutory, community and voluntary sector organisations and target groups who may come into contact with vulnerable individuals. The courses places will be free to all delegates. The initial contract period is for 2 years commencing on 1st September 2018 with the option to extend for a further two 12 month periods.
