Tender description

The Contracting entity intends to establish a framework arrangement under which it shall appoint an Economic operator to enter into a framework agreement for the provision of Temporary traffic management services throughout Northern Ireland. This framework agreement will be for a period of 4 years with an option, exercisable entirely at the discretion of the contracting entity and subject to the terms of the framework agreement, to extend by a further optional period of up to 3 years, with a total potential duration of 7 years. The Temporary traffic management service will facilitate NIE Networks’ internal work requirements associated with: — provision of New customer connections, — asset installation/replacement/upgrade works, — fault and emergency response. These services will include: — pre-site planning, — design and production of traffic management plans, — setting up of traffic management arrangements, on site management of such arrangements and removal of same upon completion of the works, — signing, lighting and guarding in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual including the provision of traffic controls and lane/road closures, — full end to end management of street works in accordance with legislative requirements.
