Tender description

The Ministry of Defence (MoD), Defence equipment and support (DE&S), Commercially supported shipping (CSS) team is in the process of commencing the international competition for the delivery of up to 3 Fleet solid support (FSS) Sea Going vessels. These vessels will have the capability to provide the solid sustainment (food, stores and ammunition) required for Maritime task groups and Joint forces allowing the UK to achieve full use of the Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) aircraft carriers. In parallel to the issue of a Contract notice in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) inviting expressions of interest from Industry, this Prior information notice invites representation from the Ship design and Ship build Industry sectors to engage with MoD DE&S at a third Industry Day. The Industry Day will take place on 5.6.2018 in central Bristol, United Kingdom and MoD DE&S will be outlining the forthcoming commercial processes and setting out the high-level requirements for FSS. Any organisation wishing to attend the Industry Day should respond to DE&S at DESShipsCSS-Comrcl-FSS-Group@mod.uk by 25.5.2018. Please allow up to 5 days for any Authority response. Organisations attending will be limited to a maximum of 3 representatives. Due to the number of places available being limited, we may be required to reduce representation numbers per organisation if necessary. (Please note we require responses to the PIN through your company e-mail address only. Responses via personal e-mail addresses will not be accepted.). Please provide a designated point of contact for your organisation for details of the Industry Day to be issued via e-mail closer to the day.
