Worst Witch Series 3

Tender description

The Worst Witch is a children’s drama based on the adaptation of Jill Murphy’s novels of the same name. The show is a co-production with ZDF and Netflix. Series 1 is complete and has TX’d in 180 countries. Series 2 is in post-production. We are looking to engage one or multiple VFX providers to help us to continue to deliver and improve on this ambitious project. In order to Express an Interest in this ITT please provide an appropriate showreel that demonstrates a high standard of blue/screen extraction, matte painting, creature work, and particle work. Please also include a sequence that demonstrates ability to deliver for our target audience. This showreel should be sent to rebecca.chisholm@bbc.co.uk. This ITT will close on 22nd February 2018, so any Expression of Interest should be received by 12th February to allow you time to complete the response to this tender. Summary: o There will be 13 episodes of 28 mins in length. o Target audience is 6-12 years old with the particular sweet spot of 7-9 o The series will be delivered in HD – we expect high level production values throughout o The project is extremely ambitious and therefore the quality of the VFX needs to echo that. ‘SERIES PRODUCTION’ – to deliver a 13x28 minute series (anticipated Post Production September 2018 – February 2019) a. Pre-production: Series asset creation and look development b. Production: 13 x 28mins drama (NB please base the amount of VFX required on the script supplied which should, at this stage, be considered an average for volume and quality of VFX)
