Brief Description of Requirement Construction has begun on the RRS Sir David Attenborough (SDA) - one of the most advanced polar research vessels in the world. From 2018 scientists researching oceans, ice and atmosphere will have access to state-of-the-art facilities on this floating laboratory. The SDA will support seismic surveys thus NERC/BAS need the ability to deploy air guns to undertake the seismic survey. BAS has a requirement for small reeler winch to store and deploy 400m of digital solid-state seismic streamer umbilical. This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the ITQ document.
