Tender description

Northern Gas Networks require suppliers who are able to identify what market-ready products are available that may meet the needs of the network with regards to temporary hot water solutions. The call is also aimed at suppliers that do not have existing market-ready products that meet the immediate output of providing temporary hot water, however, have the potential to meet the need of the call via a process of innovative development. As part of network activities, it is common practice for customers gas supplies to be interrupted. Temporary heating and cooking facilities are provided to network customers in certain cases. Customer and stakeholder feedback has highlighted an area for improved performance in providing welfare for people at these times, that is to also provide temporary hot water facilities. This call for innovation/competition is aimed at identifying what market ready products are available that may need the meets of the network. The call is also aimed at suppliers that do not have existing market ready products that meet the immediate output of providing temporary hot water, however, have the potential to meet the needs of the call via a process of innovative development. NB: Northern Gas Networks contract duration is subject to which option of supplier is chosen throughout the tender stage and may not be fixed at 12 months as stipulated below.
