Tender description

As the Entrusted Entity for implementing the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), ECMWF will issue an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for evaluation and quality control (EQC) activities, one of the main activities in support of CAMS users. The main outputs of these activities will be a series of 3-monthly EQC reports for the real-time global products and for those from experimental chains running in parallel. This ITT will also ask for the provision of a set of plots and quality monitoring statistics, using pre-existing CAMS software where possible, to be integrated in the CAMS website. While the coverage should be global, specific efforts will be targeted at validation over the Arctic and the Mediterranean areas. EQC of the regional air quality products in the free troposphere will also be part of these activities in a similar 3-monthly cycle with an additional focus on the interface between the global and regional forecasting systems. The successful bidder will have to demonstrate expertise in the field of EQC of atmospheric composition models and the capability to work under time constraints. Duration of the framework agreement is 33 months. Expected starting date of the services is 1.10.2018.
