Our Kirklees People Strategy 2017-2020 sets the direction for how we will achieve our vision and shared outcomes through a strong focus on people. We know we cannot realise our vision for Kirklees and be a high performing organisation without great people, so the People Strategy outlines our plans, ambitions and commitment to all Kirklees employees. It emphasises the importance of culture and ways of working, good people management and effective workforce planning. Whilst the People Strategy is about everyone, we know that our managers and leaders are critical. One of the key themes within the strategy is to “build management and leadership capacity and capability”. We want to ensure that support and development is available for all our managers, enable them to be the best they can be and establish a framework to help guide that development and provide some consistency. We are seeking to appoint a provider to deliver the Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard that can: • Ensure that the programme provides appropriate development support for the core skills and attributes identified for Aspiring Managers via our “Horizons” framework; • Ensure a fit with our organisational approach and ways of working - for example our corporate plan, performance management framework, Inclusion & Diversity Strategy together with our existing approach to management development featuring coaching as a leadership style, action learning sets, emotional intelligence and self-reflection to build personal/team resilience; and • Provide different approaches to learning across the programme.
