Tender description
Waterways Ireland and the Irish Sports Council initiated discussion on the development of water based recreational trails in Ireland a number of years ago and produced a publication titled – Guide to Planning and developing small vessel water trails in Ireland. This publication was an initial step to guide the development of water based trails in Ireland. Prior to this a canoe trail network was developed in Northern Ireland under the direction of Outdoor Recreation Northern Ireland.
