The NHS clinical commissioning groups and the county council for Norfolk are seeking to improve mental health pathways for children and young adults in Norfolk and Waveney. We want to increase capacity in our services, simplify pathways and provide more flexible support more quickly to more children and young people. We envisage: — rapid, simple access via one route to request information, advice or assessment & intervention, for all cases that might have a mild, moderate or severe/enduring mental health problem, including cases with suspected or diagnosed Neuro-developmental disorder, — a single, consistent set of pathways, access criteria and waiting time standards offered to a common age range (probably 0-25 year olds), — high quality advice and support is available to universal and other non-specialist mental health settings (schools, colleges, primary care, acute hospitals).
