Tender description

Basildon Borough Council are undertaking a review of its current banking and merchant acquiring arrangements and through this Invitation to Tender (ITT) is inviting potential service providers to tender for new contracts. The tender is offered in 3 Lots: — OBanking Services, — OMerchant Acquiring Services, — OPayment Services Provider. NB: Tenderers are invited to bid for any number of these lots. The Council currently maintain 15 merchant ID’s. The supplier will be required to manage these services in line the Council's instructions. The Council wish to appoint a payment service provider to provide a managed payment service to process online and offline card payments made by the Council’s customers in payment for core services and other more social and recreational services. The Council has a multi-channel sales platform with payments accepted at Council locations as well as by telephone and the Internet. This has resulted in the Council maintaining different payment service providers and the aim of this tender is to standardise all payment processing through one service provider.
