Tender description

Hampshire Constabulary will shortly be tendering an opportunity for a new contract for the provision of police custody healthcare services to Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The contract will be for an initial period of 3 years and with the option to extend for a further 2 x 1 year extension periods. It is anticipated that the contract start date will be at the beginning of January 2019. In line with EU procurement law and with Hampshire Constabulary’s objective to consistently demonstrate value for money, the requirement is going out to OJEU Open Tender via Hampshire County Council’s e-procurement system In-Tend. The services required under this contract can broadly be described as: a— the provision of Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to deliver healthcare and specific forensic services within Hampshire Constabulary’s custody suites and elsewhere as occasionally required to support both the health of individuals and the operational requirements of Hampshire Constabulary, b— an embedded service within three custody suites on the mainland in Hampshire and 1 call-out service to a custody suite on the Isle of Wight, c— the provision of a call centre service to log and ensure action on each request for health care intervention from Hampshire Constabulary Officers, d— the provision of a secure clinical IT system that enables the HCPs provided under this contract to access summary care records.
