Summary of the work SIB's AMU supports property asset management activities across central government in NI. AMU has been tasked with promoting asset management processes that unlock value. In 2018/19 AMU will undertake work to progress existing system based solutions as well as developing new digital processes and data driven processes that unlock value. Specialist role Business analyst Expected Contract Length 12 months Latest start date Monday 28 May 2018 Maximum Day Rate £750 Who Speclialist Work With The supplier will be expected to work closely with the Asset Management Unit within SIB to assist the wider Government Client (i.e. all bodies subject to public procurement requirements in NI) to progress existing system based solutions as well as developing new digital processes and data driven processes that unlock value. The supplier may be required to co-locate with end users across NI during the course of the commission. Contract value will not exceed £30k. What Specialists Work On The supplier will work with end user staff across government to explore and implement improvements to existing workflows and SharePoint based tools. The supplier will also work with AMU and the Government Client to develop and deliver user training for existing SharePoint based tools. In addition the supplier will work with the AMU to examine and explore new opportunities for introducing data driven and system enabled solutions to help unlock value and efficiencies. This will involve facilitating workshops, developing process maps, documenting workflows, illustrating system architectures and examining and documenting data sources, system functionality, data standards and data management arrangements. Skills & Experience • Have demonstrable experience in working closely with public sector Clients at all levels to analyse and map business processes, system architecture, workflows, datasets and system functionality. • Have demonstrable experience in designing and implementing SharePoint based solutions to support workflow and business intelligence outputs. • Have demonstrable experience in developing and delivering end user training. • Have demonstrable experience in engaging with and carrying out process improvements for public sector clients. • Have demonstrable experience in clearly articulating in report format opportunities for creating value and efficiencies through system enabled solutions. • Have demonstrable experience of working with third party developers to design and implement solutions to business processes within the SharePoint environment. • Have demonstrable experience in the development of prototypes in compliance with the NICS security policy framework and web standards Nice to Haves Experience of working with the NI public sector and ESS ICT shared services Work Location Primarily Belfast but the supplier may be required to visit or work with AMU's Government Client elsewhere in Northern Ireland. Working Arrangments The provider will be expected to work in the office location of AMU's Government Client and attend face to face meetings as required.
