Lakes Academies Trust considers that the need for nutritious School meals to improve the health and wellbeing of School-aged children is essential. The School lunch is the main meal of the day for many children and provides an opportunity both to provide good food for young people and to encourage the development of good eating habits and other social skills. It should allow pupils to become acquainted with a wider range of foods and to practice food choices.
