Tender description
This new integrated service will replace the current “Primary Care Centre” element of the West Hampshire GP Out of Hours (OOH) service. It will also build on the development of extended access to primary care services across West Hampshire CCG that are currently being delivered beyond core general practice opening hours funded by the GP Forward View (GPFV) access funding. The new service is comprised of 2 components: — extended Access to Primary Care (6:30 pm-8:30 pm weekdays and weekend provision), — urgent Access to Primary Care (outside core GMS service hours; 6:30 pm-8:00 am and at weekends). The service will be procured in 3 lots across West Hampshire. Potential Bidders may consider bidding for individual, multiple or all lots. The value is for 5 years (3 + 2) for all Lots and indicative only. It is the intention of West Hampshire CCG to commission a new integrated EUPCS that is tailored to the localities of West Hampshire and easy to access from a patient perspective — providing choice of routine and urgent primary care appointments during weekday evenings and at weekends. This contract will promote ease of access for local people, have strong and effective relationships with other services (e.g. 111 Integrated Urgent Care, GP practices, community services), deliver the most appropriate clinical response to meet individual need (including support and advice around self-care where appropriate) and reduce unnecessary hospitalisation. The service will be procured in 3 lots across West Hampshire: — Winchester, — Eastleigh Southern Parishes, — Eastleigh North and Test Valley South and Totton and Waterside.
