Tender description

The provision of Kinship Care Safeguarding and Support Service(s). The provision of Kinship Care Safeguarding and Support Service(s). The service(s) will be delivered to children and young people in stable kinship relationships in each of the city's 3 geographically defined social work locality areas. The service(s) will assist the local authority to meet its statutory duties by carrying out safeguarding visits to the children referred to this service; reporting back to Social Work Services on the safety and wellbeing of the child, as well as on any risk which may affect the stability of the Kinship Placement. The service(s) will work with relevant agencies to support the achievement of the outcomes detailed in a child’s care plan, also offering practical support to the family and child, for example liaising with local schools to address issues relating to the child's education and attainment.
