The Spurdog By-catch and Discard Monitoring Programme in the southern North Sea will provide a detailed understanding of the level of spurdog by-catch and discards, relative abundance and on-deck vitality to inform the 'next steps' and adaption of the Spurdog By-catch Avoidance Programme for the southern North Sea long-line fishery.
