Tender description

Highways England is looking to set up a contract with a Contractor to undertake a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling study, to: - Identify the optimal design of a solid roadside barrier, with regard to a) the extent to which it reduces pollutant concentrations in its lee; b) the extent to which it changes on-road pollutant concentrations, with respect to road users; and c) the cost and practicality of its construction; - Reveal more about the airflow and dispersion around such barriers.
