Tender description

The supply of Biomass Wood Fuels (specifically wood pellets and wood chips) which will provides Health Boards with a compliant contractual and secure route for the supply of biomass wood fuels for the Biomass Plant across the NHS Scotland Estate. Supply of Wood Pellets — Wood pellets must be compliant with ISO 17225-2:2014 which determines the fuel quality classes and specifications of graded wood pellets for non-industrial and industrial use. ISO 17225-2 replaces EN 14961, and future revisions. Please see Invitation to Tender documentation for full specification. The Authority (NHS NSS) are seeking to set up a Framework Agreement that will allow Participating Authority’s or Health Boards to purchase a heat supply from wood chip for the various biomass boiler plant located throughout NHSS. The Framework Agreement will comprise the supply of heat measured through a heat metering system from wood chip which feeds a biomass boiler system and where applicable the removal of ash produced by the biomass system when required by a particular Health Board.
