Tender description

The contract will cover the provision of approximately 12 Automatic Identification System (AIS) Base Stations over a three year period. These units will interface with existing Irish Lights systems. The existing systems consists of a coastal network of 19 AIS Base Stations around the coast of Ireland. They are connected to the internet by Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) or third generation communications links (3G) and then via a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to Irish Lights Headquarters at Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, Ireland. This contract is for the replacement of time expired AIS Base Stations.
