Tender for the provision of fully integrated RFID Self Service System for Wexford County Council Public Library Service.

Tender description

Wexford County Council plans to implement an RFID enabled self service solution in 2 branch libraries and upgrade the existing solution in 3 further branches. This tender calls for the supply, delivery, installation, commissioning of an RFID solution with a 1 year warranty and further 2 year maintenance support on all equipment provided (3 year total). All self service equipment must be intuitive and user friendly and be capable of being easily operated and supported both in staffed and unstaffed hours. Services that fall under the scope of this tender vary in each branch but in general encompass:  Self-issue and return of book and non-book material  Patron account management via self-service terminals (e.g. renewals, reservation management etc)  Facilities for the payment of fines/charges (payment by coin, cash, chip and pin, smartcard, contactless)  Returns receptacle  RFID enabled security gates to cover public exits  RFID enabled staff pads  Stock management tool  Support both remote and on-site with maximum of 8-hour on-site response time to service requests
