Herefordshire Council must provide a housing advice and register service for residents. The service should be supported by on-line content and a self-assessment tool, providing consistent and up to date information on local housing allocation and related services. The current technical solution, Abritas, has been used for more than 10 years and is a fully integrated advice, assessment, register and advertising system. In order to ensure houses are allocated in accordance with the council’s housing policy it is important that the providers’ systems and the council’s system are able to transfer data effectively on a daily basis. A new technical solution is required to support the business lifecycle from provision of data reflecting housing register priorities to external agencies, updating of information to providing outcome data. It will also need to provide detailed and accurate reports and data to key stakeholders for effective strategic decision making.
