Tender description

This PIN is to gauge publishers’ interest in the proposed group purchasing scheme and subsequent procurement process. We're a membership organisation, providing digital solutions for UK education and research. We intend to create a multi-supplier framework to support academic libraries with the perpetual purchase of digital archival collections for use in research and teaching. Primary source material such as texts, images and audio-visual content are an important complement to traditional resources such as journals and books, and can make a positive impact on innovative research practice and skills development. However with budgets stretched libraries find it difficult to purchase these often expensive content resources. We are keen to hear from publishers on their interest in participating in this scheme and the number and range of archival collection products they might consider including. We welcome any questions for more information to be sent to procurement@jisc.ac.uk Jisc Services Ltd intends to release a contract notice and commence a procurement process following the OPEN procurement procedure in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU and The Public Contracts Regulations 2015. More detailed information relating to the service required will be provided at that time. Interested providers are invited to contact the procurement panel via procurement@jisc.ac.uk and express their interest in receiving further communications about the status of this procurement process. The intention is for a procurement process to commence May/ June 2018 and this will be formally published via the OJEU and the Jisc procurement portal https://tenders.jisc.ac.uk More information on this portal is available within this notice.
