Tender description

The Short Breaks Service is to give parents and carers a break from their caring role, offering them a chance to rest, catch up on day-to-day activities and spend time with other family members. The short breaks services required will enable children and young people with disabilities and additional needs to try new experiences, both with and away from their siblings and parents or carers, giving them the opportunity to learn new skills, develop their confidence and have fun. The Authority proposes to enter into one Contract for an initial period of three years with the successful tenderer (Service Provider) with an option to extend for up to two years. The anticipated contract commencement date is 8 October 2018.
