Tender description

The Department of Education are seeking to engage a competent supplier for a National Research Coordinator to deliver the trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) 2019 in Northern Ireland. TIMSS 2019 is the 7th in a 4 yearly cycle of assessments that measures children’s mathematics and science achievement at international grades 4 and 8 equating to Years 6 and 10 in Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland has participated in the previous two rounds of TIMSS. The previous 2 rounds of TIMSS in which Northern Ireland participated in surveyed only Year 6 pupils in Northern Ireland. For TIMSS 2019, participation will once again be for Year 6 pupils only.
