Market Engagement Event for Appointment of Partner for Joint Venture Residential Development with Stockton on Tees Borough Council on the Victoria Housing site.

Stockton on Tees Borough Council are seeking to appoint a partner for a joint venture residential development on the Victoria Housing Site in central Stockton. The Council is seeking a partner who shares the vision for the site “to create a vibrant new community, providing exemplar and sustainable urban living which transform the north eastern quadrant of the Town Centre and showcase the wider transformation of the Town Centre”. With regards to the proposed residential housing development, interested parties are asked to note the following. The Council is seeking: a. A high quality development in terms of both the specification of house types to be delivered the external environment and public realm. • In addition gives due regard to the how this development will complement the future redevelopment of the Elm House site which once cleared will be brought forward independently for residential development by the Council’s nominated Registered Provider (Thirteen). b. A development which supports its commitment to deliver quality broadband services to the residents of the borough. c. A development which includes the provision of affordable homes – a target of 15% to be transferred to the Council’s nominated Registered Provider. Thirteen have secured funding from Homes England to support the delivery of these units. The timing of delivery is governed by Homes England funding commitments for the site and therefore start on site is expected by April 2019 with practical completion by end of March 2021. d. To appoint a partner who is able to progress urgently with this site redevelopment.
