Tender description
The London Borough of Havering will be recommissioning health visiting and school nursing services (the 0-19 healthy child programme), and from 1.4.2020 intend to commence a new contract for these services. We would like to hear from potential providers interested in delivering these services, to inform the planning of our procurement process. The health visiting (0-5) service is to provide specialist community public health nurses and teams who provide expert information, assessments and interventions for babies, children and families. The school nursing (5-19) service is to promote public health to children, young people and their families, support schools, colleges, and pupil referral units to identify and respond to the health needs of their populations, and work with partners and stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes possible for all children and young people in Havering; improving their health and wellbeing, preventing ill health, and reducing health inequalities. From 1.4.2020, the London Borough of Havering intend to contract a 0-19 healthy child programme delivering Health Visiting for 0-5 years old and school nursing for 5 – 19 years old in Havering. Requirements. Potential providers must: — deliver face to face antenatal contact with expecting mothers at 28 weeks to birth, — deliver face to face new birth visits within 14 days of birth, — deliver 6 to 8 weeks checks on newborns, — deliver infant 12 months reviews, — deliver infant 2 – 2,5 years reviews, — deliver universal health assessments for reception year and feedback to parents where health needs identified, — deliver the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) for reception year, — deliver the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) for year 6, — feed back to all parents whose children have participated in NCMP, — develop school health plans and focus activities around these, — deliver health and wellbeing focused training sessions to teachers and parents in Havering schools, — deliver weekly drop in sessions for primary and secondary school pupils, — provide referrals for school pupils to local services to support health needs identified.
