Greater Manchester Working Well Early Help Evaluation Market Engagement Event

Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) wish to invite providers to a market engagement event for the undertaking of an evaluation of the Greater Manchester Working Well Early Help Programme (GMWWEH). This is a partnership programme between the GMCA and the GM Health and Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP). The aim of GMWWEH is to develop and test an effective early intervention system available to GM residents in work who become ill and risk falling out of the labour market, or are newly unemployed due to health issues, in order to enable a more rapid and sustainable return to the labour market. A procurement exercise is underway to appoint a GMWWEH provider. GMCA and GMHSCP require impact, process and value for money assessments of GMWWEH to be undertaken. The evaluation will assess whether and how the programme provides an effective early intervention system for GM residents who, due to illness, are in work and at risk at falling out of the labour market or are newly unemployed. It will offer an opportunity to explore the mechanisms underlying any impacts observed; if the programme is effective, why this is so.
