‘The Service’ will provide advice across, but not limited to, the areas listed below by a range of methods which include: online, face to face, telephone and mail. Welfare benefits, such as benefit eligibility and representation at appeals tribunals. Money and debt, such as benefit entitlement, income assessments, debt prioritisation, creditor negotiation and legal assistance. Employment, such as statutory and contractual rights, dismissal and redundancy. Housing, such as housing debt, housing costs and housing legislation. Family or personal, such as death and bereavement, change of name and adoption, divorce or separation, children and young people. Legal, such as legal proceedings, compensation and personal injury claims, and support. General tax, such as systems, exemptions and rates. Disability/health, such as benefit eligibility and applications, representation at tribunals, and health service complaints. Consumer advice, such as problems with buying goods and services, financial services, insurance queries and consumer law. ‘The Service’ will also hold general information on issues relating to community care, education, transport and travel, immigration and telecommunications.
