Tender description

The purpose of this tender exercise was to establish a framework for the provision of Fire and Intruder Alarms, Fire Protection Equipment and Sprinkler System servicing and installation works, that EEM Members can call off from. Due to the geographical spread of our Members the framework has been split into the following geographical lots: Lot 1: East Midlands; Lot 2: West Midlands; Lot 3: Greater London and the South East; Lot 4: South West. An additional Lot has also been made available for Members who have properties across the whole of England and Wales or who sit outside of our core regions: Lot 5: National Coverage. This Framework has been established to support EEM Members, in terms of their legal compliance to meet current legislation and guidance for fire safety and to ensure employee and resident safety,through the regular servicing and maintenance of Fire, Intruder, and Emergency lighting systems. The main elements of worked covered by this Framework will be periodic and annual service, maintenance,installation and subsequent repairs of: — Fire Alarm Systems, — Intruder Alarm Systems, — Emergency Lighting Systems and Escape Route signage, — Fire Extinguishers, Hose Reels and Fire Blankets, — Dry / Wet Risers and Fire Sprinkler Systems, — Smoke Ventilation Systems (Automatic and Manual Opening Vent Systems). Installation works for sprinkler systems will be via mini-competition only due to the technical nature of requirement and system types.
