Felt roof covering & new roof lights for Block 1, Wal;worth Enterprise Centre

Tender description

The works will comprise of installing a felt flat roofing system with insulation, as the roof repair is over 30%, the current building regulation of Approved Document L2 for insulation will be required. The current roof light system roof lights contains 6nr older wire-glass roof lights (containing asbestos) and 6nr domed roof lights, the contractor will be required to build over and around the existing 6nr wire-glass roof lights and leave the existing lights in situ. This is due to small quantities of asbestos identified in these areas and their removal would cause too much disruption to the current tenants. The 6nr domed roof lights will also require adjusting to allow for insulation, however these can be either build like the wire-glass roof lights if necessary or the covering changed in order to allow for height adjustment.
