Tender description

HEE directly and indirectly invests in digital evidence and knowledge resources for the NHS in England, and in the infrastructure which enables access and management of these resources, at national, regional and local level. In a changing digital landscape, there is scope to modernise and streamline this digital resource access and support infrastructure, to improve both user experience and return on investment. The audit of NHS library and knowledge services in England undertaken by Ciber Ltd in 2016 made several recommendations in relation to digital knowledge resources, including: procurement of a national discovery engine, tendering for a national library management system, and establishing a central unit for management of digital resources.
