The service is being directly awarded in order to ensure the continuity of essential health care services to the local population, following an unanticipated early termination of the current contract with the incumbent provider. The interim contract will enable the Contracting Authority (NHS Hillingdon CCG) to have sufficient time to progress work to redesign its Musculoskeletal Pathways in line with new NHS models of care to be established by summer 2019.
