Tender description

The Framework is split into the following Category Lots: — Workstream 3: Domestic asbestos removal and remediation, — Workstream 4: Commercial asbestos removal and remediation. There is also a separate CN for Asbestos Consultants (Workstreams 3/4 for Domestic / Commercial) available on the same tender. In order to ensure this opportunity is available to SME's, the framework will be divided into NUTS Regional Lots: Highlands and Islands, North Eastern Scotland, Southern Scotland, West Central Scotland and Eastern Scotland. Workstreams and Regions operate independently of one another. Tenderers may apply for 1 or more one workstream and regions. SPA Clients have diverse property portfolio with different volumes of asbestos removal and remediation services required, due to day-to-day maintenance and repairs to large-scale planned replacement projects. Domestic and residential properties the require the following tasks: E3 Tasks: Appointed Companies shall offer quality project management and services that include good communication to the Client and their tenants at all times. E3.1 Licensed Works: Removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials using appropriate control measures, and under appropriately controlled conditions, including local environmental cleaning. Provision of emergency and out-of-hours response services, including on-site attendance to make safe any suspect or known asbestos-containing materials, together with local environmental cleaning and disposal of materials. Encapsulation works: — drilling holes and cutting asbestos-containing materials and removal and disposal of waste, — removal of asbestos-containing appliances, dismantling and removal, — opening up of ducts, — collection of bagged waste, — provision of temporary plywood reinstatement, — liaise with an independent UKAS 17025 Accredited Asbestos Analyst, — re-occupation Certificates. E3.2 Non-Licensed Works: Non-licensed work shall include NLW (Non-Licensed Work) or NNLW (Notifiable Non-Licensed Work) and can include other materials.
