2070-18 Winter Maintenance Operatives

Tender description

The contract that will hopefully result from this Advert is for the provision of a Winter Maintenance Agency Operatives Service for the East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC). The ERYC delivers its Winter Services 24 hours a day 7 days a week during the winter period. Staffing is made up from volunteers employed by ERYC supplemented by Agency staff. The out of hour's service requires that volunteers sign up to a contract and are placed on a rota for the duration of the winter period. The winter period typically extends between the mid October to mid-April the following year although this is subject to seasonal change and weather patterns. During normal working hours ERYC staff are generally utilised to carry out Winter Services but they may be supplemented by Agency staff if required, during this period the Operatives are controlled by an operations controller in a similar way to the out of hours operation.
