SSD1802 Derbyshire Dementia Support Service

Tender description

Derbyshire Adult Care will be inviting tenders from organisations experienced in the provision of Dementia Services on Monday 23 April 2018. The Dementia Support Service will support people living with dementia and their carers to access appropriate and timely information and advice. The service will also maintain and develop a range of peer support groups for people with dementia and their carers across all areas of Derbyshire. The service will help people manage their condition through a range of interventions, including: • Support at Memory Clinics • 1-1 information and advice • Understanding Dementia • Help to access local services • Financial and Legal advice • Understanding the caring role • Maintaining independence • Living well with Dementia The service will ensure the Council meets statutory duties, such as the Equality Act (2010), the Accessible Information Standard (2016) and a commitment to work according to the new General Data Protection Regulation (2018). The service will also have a prevention and wellbeing focus in line with the principles in the Care Act (2014). Keywords: Dementia, SSD 1802
