Portable Industrial Shredder for PE/PA/PP Fishing Gear Components

Amongst the diverse range of ongoing projects with industry is the Recycling of Fishing Gears and efforts to reduce the level of ghost-fishing and landfill due to absence of established recycling streams for the old, used and/ or unsuitable fishing gears. Working in close cooperation with the Aquaculture Division within BIM, Green Marine Recyclers, the 6 National Fishery Harbour Centres, several County Council piers and harbours, the Fisheries Development Section wish to acquire one portable shredder for the following initiatives; • Coastal shredding service for range of gears from Aquaculture sites/ activities and Commercial Fishing Ports, Piers & Harbours • Onsite shredding to prepare various polymer feedstock’s for recycling; down to 5mm particle size
