Tender description

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS) currently manages 16 fire stations and the Headquarters site through a central based Trend 963 Head End Supervisor (HES). It wishes to develop the Building Management System (BMS) as part of its strategy towards its future building energy management policy by enhancing the current system and also rolling it out to further sites. To do this SWFRS are seeking tenders from Trend accredited, suitably qualified and experienced installers of BMS who can supply, install, commission and maintain a system to meet this tender and functional specification. The requirement is to appoint a supplier to carry out works including but not limited to: — Installation of a BMS system at 11 fire stations which can communicate with the Trend 963 supervisor installed at SWFRS headquarters in Llantrisant, — Provide training on the BMS system for 5 SWFRS staff to include HES and station system, — Provide technical support for all SWFRS 27 sites including system development, call outs, repair and maintenance. Normal working hours for providing the service shall be 8:00 to 17:00. The Contractor shall provide as part of the service a call out facility to respond to emergency call outs as and when requested by a member of the Property Services department. Contractors must be able to respond to a 4hr call out, — Provide system graphics for each new install which shall be viewed from the HES and also provide on-going graphical development for existing sites, — Provide future works as required, including but not limited to adding Fire Alarms/Station lighting and any other relevant requests to the existing BMS. The service requires the successful supplier to complete all initial installation works by 28.2.2019.
