Tender description
The University of Cambridge, Cambridge Institute for Medical Research, Alzheimer’s Research UK Cambridge Drug Discovery Institute (ARUK CDDI) has a team of research scientists engaged in drug discovery using state of art research facilities. ARUK CDDI is part of a group of three UK-based, ARUK-funded institutes, collectively termed the Drug Discovery Alliance (DDA). DDI is seeking a contractor who can meet its high standards for providing pharmacokinetics services. These include in-life animal experiments to determine compound distribution to different compartments (e.g. blood or brain) of different species of animals (e.g. mouse, rat, dog), following administration by different routes (e.g. po, iv, ip), with bioanalysis and report writing. The work is likely to frequently include determination of unbound concentrations of compound in the brain, possibly by combining in vitro and in vivo methods, and may include other related activities such as formulation development.
