Tender description
Lot 1: Pre-qualification Test Supply Rig — for testing of submarine export cables in alternating current (AC). Ableto accommodate testing of cables up to a maximum length of 150 m with potential voltage levels of interest. This will also be used to test cables with simulated submarine operational stresses including accelerated aging and thermal cycling. Lot 2: High current induction rig - able to accommodate testing of cables up to a maximum length of 150m with potential voltage levels of interest. This will also be used to test cables with simulated submarine operational stresses including accelerated aging and thermal cycling; and. Lot 3: Upgrade of existing laboratory equipment for superimposed impulse testing of HVDC cables — using the ORE Catapult’ existing 1 MV DC power supply to carry out superimposed impulse testing. This shall include the provision of suitable data acquisition and measurement systems associated with Lots 1 and 2. Award notice only. Lot 1: Pre-qualification (PQ) Test Supply Rig.
