Tender description

WAN and LAN Equipment and Services. We require a redesign that will take into account current and planned change to our estate (including a potential move from our main site in 2020), and that takes into account the increasing trend towards remote and mobile working, and the deployment of cloud services, especially Office 365. The redesigned WAN will better suit our customers’ current and future needs, will exhibit resilience, and permit transparency and control. The underpinning contract will bring flexibly; permit changes to the configuration to be made without significant delay or increased cost. The current WAN (Lot 1) also includes a provision for Internet, SIP, access to Microsoft Azure. The current LAN (Lot 2) is the replacement of end-of-life network switches and an opportunity for us to be able to increase our monitoring capability to understand bottlenecks and network performance, for instance the NetFlow protocol.
