Tender description

The ARCHER service comprises the hardware, Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) support, Service Provision (SP) support, hardware. Accommodation support and external users UKRI, as managing agent for the national HPC facility is extending (a period of up to 15 months) the existing service provision contract for ARCHER which includes: — co-ordinate and interface with the elements of the ARCHER service, — to deploy, configure, maintain and upgrade the system software, system administration tools and user environments as they are made available, — front line service and user engagement (via a help desk), — service availability and reliability, — scheduling and allocation of resources, — user registration and access. UKRI, as managing agent for the national HPC facility is extending the existing 5 years contract by a period of up to 15 months to ensure continuity of the existing ARCHER facility until plans for a replacement ARCHER2 have been agreed, approved and procured.
