Tender description

Surrey County Council is seeking to appoint a single strategic framework Consultant to provide a wide range of multidisciplinary services for Lot 1 and multiple suppliers for Lot 2 Services. Lot 1: Professional Services — will include provision of resources (specialists) to deliver Preliminary and Detailed Design for infrastructure projects, major transport civil projects and other schemes. The consultancy services under this Lot will be provided in the form of business analysis and development alongside contract development and support. Lot 2: Specialist Technical Services — will cover provision of ad-hoc technical support and general professional advice and technical assessments. The Framework be let for 4 years (initial term of 2 years with an option to extend by a further period of 2 years). A number of other authorities may make use of this Framework as specified at Section. VI.3) Additional information. Professional Services Framework will encapsulate the following 2 levels (Lots) of service: the consultancy services under this Lot 1 will be provided in the form of business analysis and development alongside contract development and support to deliver Preliminary and Detailed Design for infrastructure projects, major transport civil projects and other schemes. This Lot will comprise the following subcategories: — design, contract preparation and site supervision of Bridges and Structures, maintenance and strengthening schemes, — design of Carriageway Structural Maintenance, including carriageway reconstruction, resurfacing and drainage improvements, — design for the maintenance, replacement and strengthening of Bridges and other structures including culverts, retaining walls and embankments, — design for the improvement, maintenance and replacement of drainage infrastructure and systems both on and off highway, — design of Road Restraint Systems (Vehicle and pedestrian), — structures and Geotechnical Services, — drainage / Flood Alleviation Strategy and Design, Hydraulic Modelling, — Local Economic Partnership (LEP); Local Transport Plan (LTP) Schemes.
