Tender description

The Department for Education intends to seek provision of initial qualifying social work education through an employment-based, fast-track route. The programme will seek to train 700-900 children and family social workers, managed over 2 cohorts. It is expected the programme will start in 2020. The programme will be based on recruiting, assessing and training high performing graduates who also display the highest aptitude for children and family social work, through an accelerated programme including employment placements with English providers of statutory children’s social care services. The programme should lead to participants receiving a Master’s degree, combined with demonstrating a focus on delivering high quality social work practice.
