Tender description

The Environment Agency's office Guildbourne House in Worthing requires the refurbishment of the two passenger lifts on site. The lifts are to be refurbished on a lift by lift basis, starting with the “slave” unit (South lift) unless otherwise instructed. The lifts will undergo extensive modernisation works to include replacement of main control system with energy efficient Variable Voltage Variable Frequency (VVVF) drive system, full rewire of installation, replacement of hoisting machines with energy efficient gearless alternatives, replacement of car door operator and overhaul of all landing door equipment. Whilst undertaking the works code compliance issues detailed within EN81-70 (disabled access) and EN81-80 (health and safety) will be addressed wherever practical to do so. A design will be provided for the works.
