Tender description

In support of DFID Indonesia’s Operational Plan and as the second phase of spatial plan implementation programmes, DFID is seeking a service provider to deliver its new Reducing Deforestation through Improved Spatial Planning in Papua provinces, Indonesia program. The new programme will be implemented jointly with key Government of Indonesia’s ministries and provinces to establish how the spatial plan implementation can be improved; help Indonesia reduce deforestation, and better recognition of indigenous people (adat) claims and communal management of forest. The programme will be implemented with national ministries and two provinces of Papua, Indonesia. The programme will: provide highly targeted technical assistance to those in the Indonesian ministries and provincial governments who are committed to improve the spatial plan implementation as tools to reduce deforestation; improve transparency and build constituency in spatial planning at provincial level. The programme will: provide highly targeted technical assistance to those in the Indonesian ministries and provincial governments who are committed to improve the spatial plan implementation as tools to reduce deforestation; improve transparency and build constituency in spatial planning at provincial level; and foster national policy dialogues and engagement to support Papua’s commitment to protect its forests. The service provider will be expected to implement this program up to March 2022.
